Three dispensing datasets have now migrated onto the Open Data Portal (ODP):

Updated monthly, the datasets help to provide a more comprehensive view of patient care and prescribing impacts. Please refer to our recent article for more information.

Data from January 2025 onwards is available now on the NHSBSA Open Data Portal.

We are currently working to migrate previously unavailable earlier data to the Open Data Portal. This will be made available incrementally and we expect the full set to be available over the next few months.

In the meantime, limited historical data can be found on the NHSBSA website:

Explore the datasets now:

You can access the data via the data explorer, download it directly, or connect via an API. Create an account for access to the discussion boards about the data and the ability to follow datasets for future updates.

We encourage you to:

  • explore and discover insights about the NHSBSA dispensing datasets
  • let us know how you will use the information and cite our data so that others can benefit too
